Set within the historic Palazzo Bollani, this immersive exhibition traces sculptural practice across past, present, and future, from hand carving to robotic fabrication. The design reimagines the workshop as a series of interconnected environments: the quarry, the artisan’s studio, and the high‑tech lab, each offering a distinct interpretation of creative process.

Works by Helena Bacardi, including robotically produced pieces, are placed in dialogue with a collection of maquettes from the Museo dei Bozzetti in Pietrasanta, highlighting contrasts in form, materiality, technique and scale. A dramatic stepped installation suggests extraction and revelation, while a robotic arm gestures toward the future of making. The final light-shielded room serves as a contemplative shrine to human creativity, reflecting on the ongoing journey of sculptural thought and matter.
