Within one of Venice’s most remarkable heritage sites, The Scuola Grande dei Carmini, a series of fourteen monumental panels interacts with the exceptional cycle of nine painted panels by Giambattista Tiepolo (1696–1770), created for the Scuola’s Chapter Hall.

Through these works, Anna Peter Breton explores the theme of the sky, drawing on references to ancient and medieval cosmologies, and develops a profound reflection on the notions of light, time, and spirituality.

The artworks are painted on timber panels designed and cut-to size, fitting seamlessly within the existing window reveals of the Scuola Grande.
